A court in Azerbaijan on Wednesday ordered release on parole of jailed top rights campaigner Leyla Yunus, citing her deteriorating health less than a month after freeing her activist husband. The move came the day after officials arrested a prominent opposition figure on incitement charges, his party said, in the latest government move to crack down on dissenters.
